Is homeopathy a wonderful asset for your dog's health?
If you're like me, you may be wondering how on earth those little white sugar balls could be of any use whatsoever, right? Plus, there has been a fair amount of news about doctors saying they're only a placebo, don't work, and are a waste of time and money.
So what to make of it all?
What I find curious is that the news about homeopathy not working is coming from medical doctors for humans, who really don't want people trying to cure themselves, that wouldn't be very good for business, now would it?
But, even though you can argue that humans can be influenced by the placebo effect, and say they feel better because they convince themselves they will, you can't really use that argument with dogs.
Dogs can't fake feeling better because they have no idea what you're giving them nor why in the first place.
And although you could argue that the animal "seems" to get better because it's the owner interpreting the results, that argument doesn't really hold up if you look at all the cases where the owner went to their vet, put their dog on medication and the dog didn't get better. But when they tried homeopathy, the dog recovered! There are countless cases like this.
What I suggest to you is to try it and see for yourself!
Homeopathic remedies are super easy to administer, there are practically zero side effects, so what do you have to lose?
In my opinion, homeopathy can really play a valuable role in the treatment of almost any illness or injury. Once you take the time to understand how they work, how to store and handle them, and get familiar with the Materia Medica (there are actually ones made specifically for dogs, like George Macleod's Dogs: Homeopathic Remedies), the possibilities for treating your dog 100% naturally at home, or in addition to the treatment your vet is administering, are endless.
Don't listen to the skeptics, make an informed decision for yourself, and try something that could actually benefit your dog more than you could possibly imagine!
